Deployments
Deployment is how a new version of your software gets from a finished build into production, and the goal is to do it often without breaking things for users. Rather than swapping everything at once, a canary release sends the new build a small slice of traffic, say 1%, compares its error rates and latency against the old version, and either widens the rollout or rolls back automatically. Blue-green deployment instead runs two full environments and flips all traffic from one to the other, which makes rollback instant. Feature flags go a step further by separating deploying code from turning a feature on, so you can ship code dark and enable it gradually for chosen users.
In this lesson: A canary sim where a bad build triggers an automatic rollback. Feature flags.
